About the Role

The Company is seeking an Assistant General Counsel to join its regulatory and product counsel team. The successful candidate will be at the forefront of the company's mission to democratize finance, with a focus on retail cryptocurrency products and services. This role involves providing end-to-end legal counseling, responding to a wide range of legal requests, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a J.D. degree, be a member of a Canadian province or territory bar, and have at least 7 years' of relevant work experience,



including a strong background in legal and regulatory requirements related to crypto, securities, derivatives, money transmission, and/or sanctions.

Key responsibilities for the Assistant General Counsel include identifying and mitigating legal and regulatory risks, engaging with Canadian securities regulators, and fostering trusted relationships to support the launch of new products and features. The role requires a proactive, business-minded approach, and the ability to think like a product owner while also being a dedicated legal advisor. The candidate should be a self-starter, comfortable in a fast-paced environment, and adept at building strong relationships both internally and externally.
