Become a Child and Youth Worker with the Developmental Disabilities Association, contributing to transformative afterschool programs. This role, based in Renfrew-Collingwood, is permanent and part-time.
In this position, your focus will be on fostering skill development and inclusivity for youth with disabilities. Your creativity will shape educational and recreational activities that ensure each child has the opportunity to grow in a supportive workplace. Expect flexibility with scheduled part-time hours during school terms, adapting to full-time during school holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate educational recreational activities for children
• Promote community inclusion through thoughtful programming
• Support individual growth with tailored learning experiences
• Work as part of a team to enhance service delivery
• Oversee safety and well-being during all activities
Requirements:
• Minimum of 3 years in related studies or certificate
• Direct experience with youth in recreational contexts
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Criminal Record Clearance and First Aid/CPR
• Basic computer literacy and ability to work in Canada
