Step into the role of Human Resources Specialist in Labour Relations with PHS Community Services, focusing on strategic HR guidance within a unionized framework. Collaborate with management and CUPE Local 5536.
In this permanent, full time position, you will report to the Director of Human Resources & Labour Relations. Preferred candidates will have 3-5 years of progressive Human Resources experience, particularly in labour relations and employee disputes. Your expertise in employment legislation and collective agreements will be crucial in resolving workplace conflicts.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide HR advice on performance and workplace dynamics
• Oversee workplace investigations and produce reports
• Assist with grievance processes and collective agreements




• Support constructive employee relations and engagement practices
• Ensure confidentiality of sensitive HR information
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or similar
• 3-5 years of HR experience, focused on labour relations
• Knowledge of HR legislation and codes in BC
• Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
• Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft tools
