Oversee the CNC Research Forest's activities and research programs with a focus on sustainability and community engagement. Your role will involve significant collaboration with Indigenous partners and industry.
In this managerial role reporting to the Vice President Academic, you will take charge of the CNC Research Forest, ensuring all operations align with skilled standards and environmental stewardship. You will lead applied research efforts related to forestry and natural resources while also supporting educational initiatives within the NRFT program. Your commitment to establish lasting partnerships with First Nations will enhance the mission of the CNC Research Forest.
Key Responsibilities:
• Drive the management of all CNC Research Forest activities
• Lead the development and execution of applied research projects
• Ensure financial management aligns with sustainability practices
• Support student opportunities in the NRFT program
• Liaise with the CNC Research Forest Society Board
Requirements:
• Background in forestry or natural resources management
• Strong financial management experience
• Proven track record in leading applied research
• Expertise in Indigenous relations and community partnerships
• Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities
