We are currently looking for a permanent Industrial Service Technician for a company specializing in industrial maintenance of lift equipment and overhead dock doors throughout the lower mainland.
Your responsibilities will include
- Perform field service visits at client sites across Greater Vancouver — up to 7–8 visits per day for preventive maintenance and repairs on lifting equipment and/or dock doors
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults on equipment and carry out efficient, high-quality repairs to minimize client downtime
- Prepare service orders, work orders, and client quotes with accuracy — administrative capability is a key part of this role
- Complete 50% preventive maintenance and 50% repair work; major rebuilds are handled back at the in-house shop
- Manage your own schedule, track overtime accurately, and maintain a high standard of time management across all client visits
- Communicate professionally with clients at every visit — your interpersonal skills matter as much as your technical ones
- Handle unexpected situations in office with composure and find practical solutions quickly
- Maintain the company truck in good condition and manage your own tool inventory (personal tools required — $250/year tool allowance provided)
Requirements
- Lifting Systems Technician: 4–5 years of experience in forklift or lifting system service — mechanical background with hydraulic and electrical knowledge; Red Seal or apprenticeship an asset but not required; licensed technicians can perform inspections
- Dock Door Technician:

- Comfortable with administrative tasks: service orders, quoting, and work order completion
- TIG or MIG welding experience — an asset for both roles
