Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in office administration or healthcare administration is preferred.
2 years experience is a Dental Receptionist is needed
Proven experience in an administrative dental setting.
Strong understanding of Canadian healthcare privacy laws and dental billing procedures.
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Certification in dental office administration or related professional credential.
Experience with Canadian dental insurance plans and claim processing.
ABELdent experience is preferred, but not mandatory
Knowledge of basic dental terminology and clinical procedures.
Responsibilities
Manage patient appointment scheduling and follow-up communications to optimize daily clinic flow.
Maintain and update patient records accurately in compliance with privacy and healthcare regulations.
Coordinate billing processes, including insurance claims submission and payment tracking.
Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, addressing inquiries and resolving administrative issues.
Support dental staff by preparing treatment documentation and managing inventory of office supplies.
Ensure compliance with provincial healthcare standards
Facilitate communication between dental professionals, patients, and external service providers.
Schedule
Mon - 7:30 am to 5 pm
Tues - 10:00 am to 7 pm
Wed - 7:30 am to 5 pm
Thursday - 7:30 am to 5 pm
Fri - 7:30 am - 3 pm
