Job Summary The Roméo Dallaire Child Soldiers Initiative (Dallaire Initiative) was established in 2007 by retired Lieutenant-General the Honourable Roméo Dallaire, former Force Commander of the United Nations Assistance Mission for Rwanda ( UNAMIR ). Our mission is to develop current strategies and tactics to progressively end the recruitment and use of children as soldiers worldwide. As of April 2020, the Dallaire Initiative has now become the Dallaire Institute for Children, Peace and Security. reporting to theDirector of Research and Knowledge Mobilization, the Training Portfolio Manager is responsible for overseeing the design, quality assurance,coordination,



and continuous improvement of the Dallaire Institute’s training portfolio. Theposition establishes and maintains systems, standards, and processes that ensure the consistentdevelopment, contextualization, delivery, and evaluation of high-quality curriculum and trainingactivities across the Institute. Key Responsibilities Lead the design, adaptation, review, and continuous improvement of training curricula, materials, and instructional resources to support the Institute’s global training portfolio. Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance systems, standards, processes, and tools to support effective curriculum development, trainer selection, and training delivery. Coordinate training operations, including trainer assignments, resource allocation, training schedules, contracts, and the provision of materials to ensure successful programme delivery. Manage and support the Institute’s network of trainers by overseeing recruitment, onboarding, engagement, record management, and ongoing coordination activities. Facilitate collaboration and communication across regional offices, trainers, partners, and internal teams to strengthen training delivery, readiness, and operational effectiveness. Analyse feedback, performance data, and evaluation findings to identify improvement opportunities, implement enhancements, and support organisational learning and strategic priorities.
