Become an Animal Care Attendant at Calgary Humane Society and provide compassionate care for a variety of species. Your work will ensure a clean, safe, and enriching setting for all animals in our shelter.
This full time role involves reporting to the Manager of Animal Services and executing daily cleaning protocols along with securing proper food and environmental conditions for animals. You will document behaviors and assist in their movement, contributing to their overall welfare and successful adoptions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform thorough cleaning and sanitation tasks
• Provide appropriate care as per established protocols
• Observe and report any health or behavioral concerns
• Assist with record-keeping and animal monitoring
• Engage in behavior enrichment activities as necessary
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least one year of animal handling experience
• Strong time management in busy environments
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently
• Capable of lifting moderately heavy objects
