About the Opportunity Under the supervision of the Nutrition & Food Service supervisor and manager of Nutrition and Food Services, the Red Seal Cook independently, and within a team, prepares meals using standardized quantity recipes for patient food services operations, as well as for clientele for the cafeteria/catering/retail services. The Red Seal Cook, in collaboration with the other cooking staff, is also responsible for menu planning and maintaining a high standard of sanitation and safety in an institutional food service operation.
About You We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
Grade 12 or equivalentrequired
Red Seal cooking certificationrequired
Serv Safe Advanced course required
Previous cooking experience in hospital setting preferred
Ability to meet the physical demands of the position (lifting, bending, walking, standing)
Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
