Provide essential support to children and youth as a full-time Worker in the Intensive Services Program located in Timmins. Focus on developing critical life skills for ages 8-18 in a community live-in workplace.
This position as a Child and Youth Worker encompasses multiple responsibilities aimed at fostering development and ensuring safety. You'll participate in interventions and activities, maintain accurate records, and perform regular safety checks in the program's residence. Your contributions will be vital for the overall well-being of participating youth.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate daily interventions and youth activities • Support ongoing skill development in life and social areas • Maintain comprehensive records and logs • Conduct safety and security checks of the facilities • Participate in monitoring and engagement with youth
Requirements: • Accredited diploma or degree in Social Services preferred • Availability for flexible hours as needed • Experience with youth and families considered beneficial • Bilingual proficiency in French and English required • Minimum G2 driver's license at application and willing to upgrade
