Evertz is offering a Lab Engineer role to enhance the development of networking products in Markham, Ontario, focused on hands-on technical work. Engage with device management, cabling, and CI/CD systems.
As part of the networking device team, you will maintain smooth operations within the lab, requiring skills in wiring, troubleshooting, and scripting. Your contributions will help Evertz maintain its reputation for innovation in broadcast technology. An ability to adapt to project demands is essential.
Key Responsibilities: • Manage network, audio, video, and fiber optic cabling • Reconfigure devices per engineering specifications and testing • Install and replace lab equipment,
including servers and switches • Troubleshoot optical transceivers and verify connections • Keep an inventory database current and accurate
Requirements: • Diploma or degree in Engineering, IT, or a related area • Experience with Python and Bash scripting (1-2 years) • Knowledge of networking principles and structured cabling • Familiarity with broadcast cabling and connectors • Hands-on experience in a lab or technical setting
