As a mechanic on Pomerleau's Civil & Infrastructure team, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of the site's heavy vehicles and equipment. Working on large-scale construction projects—ranging from $1.5 million to over $1 billion—you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to the success of various construction site operations.

What You Will Do

- Check operation of equipment and inspect various machines for faults and malfunctions.
- Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, fixtures or components using hand or power tools.
- Determine the nature of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults and failures, using computerized and other monitoring equipment, to determine the extent of repairs required.
- Test repaired equipment to ensure proper operation,



while respecting manufacturer’s compliance and requirements.
- Produce an inspection certificate after repair and inspection.
- Clean and lubricate equipment and perform other routine maintenance.
- Perform periodic maintenance operations such as oil changes, lubrication and tune‑ups.
- Discuss vehicle operations, general condition and future repairs with the supervisor.
- Follow training courses related to the acquisition of current equipment and machinery.

This Role Is Made For You If You Have

- Completed the ASP construction course.
- A DEP in construction equipment mechanics.
- A class 5 driver's license.
