Senior Business Analyst / Product Owner – Canadian Banking Domain

Experience & Domain Expertise

- Minimum 10 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Owner, or Domain Consultant within the Banking and Financial Services industry.
- Strong expertise in Deposits (Registered and Non-Registered Products) and at least one or more of the following banking domains:
- Lending
- Transaction Processing
- Payments
- Positive understanding of the Canadian banking and credit union ecosystem, including industry practices, regulatory considerations, and operational processes.
- Hands-on experience with Mambu Core Banking Platform is highly desirable.

Business Analysis & Stakeholder Management

- Demonstrated expertise in requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation, and end-to-end requirements management.
- Proven ability to engage and collaborate with senior business stakeholders, executives, regulators, auditors, and technology teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, facilitation, and consensus-building skills.
- Capable of bridging the gap between business and technology teams while driving strategic decision-making.

Technology & Delivery

- Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum tools such as Jira, Confluence, and related collaboration platforms.




- Ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable user stories, functional specifications, and solution requirements.
- Comfortable working closely with architects, developers, testers, and implementation teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Communication & Leadership

- Exceptional verbal and written communication, presentation, and workshop facilitation skills.
- Ability to operate as both a Senior Business Analyst and a Banking Domain Expert, providing strategic guidance to business and delivery teams.
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence stakeholders across all organisational levels.

Role Expectations

- Perform the combined role of Senior Business Analyst, Industry Subject Matter Expert, and Product Owner.
- Lead business discovery, requirements definition, solution validation, and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Provide domain expertise and strategic guidance during solution design and implementation.
- Manage interactions with senior client stakeholders, regulators, auditors, and governance bodies.
- Willingness to travel as required to support project and client engagement needs.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

A seasoned Banking Business Analyst with deep Canadian banking experience, strong stakeholder management capabilities, exposure to Mambu Core Banking, and the ability to operate confidently at both delivery levels.
