The Role & About the Client

ITS Building People are currently recruiting for an experienced Estimator on behalf of a well-established roofing contractor based in Woking. This is an excellent opportunity to join a reputable business with a solid pipeline of projects, specialising in pitched roofing. The successful candidate will play a key role in producing accurate and competitive estimates, supporting the successful delivery of projects from tender stage through to contract award.

Key Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:

- Preparing accurate cost estimates and tender submissions for pitched roofing projects.
- Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
- Carrying out material take-offs and producing detailed cost breakdowns.
- Obtaining and evaluating quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Identifying value engineering opportunities where appropriate.
- Liaising with clients, suppliers and the internal project team throughout the tender process.
- Ensuring all estimates are completed within tender deadlines.




- Maintaining accurate estimating records and project documentation.
- Supporting the commercial team with handovers following successful tenders.
- Keeping up to date with market rates, material costs and industry trends.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

- Previous experience working as an Estimator within the roofing or construction industry.
- Essential experience estimating pitched roofing projects.
- Strong understanding of construction drawings and specifications.
- Excellent numerical, analytical and commercial skills.
- Experience preparing competitive tenders and cost plans.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating software.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
