and backfilling operationsSupport pipe crews and underground utility installation (water, sewer, storm)Perform general labour duties including shoveling, trenching, and site cleanupHelp with layout and grade support (working alongside grade person/survey crews)Work safely around heavy equipment (excavators, dozers, loaders)Follow all site safety procedures, permits, and hazard assessmentsMaintain tools, materials, and a clean, organized work areaCommunicate with supervision and crew to complete daily tasksPrepare and clean up work sitesOther duties as assignedRequirements and ExperienceWHMIS-15 CertificatePrevious experience in earthworks or civil constructionExperience with grading, excavation, or underground utilities considered an assetAbility to work in a physically demanding environmentWillingness to follow direction and work as part of a crewSafety-focused attitude and awareness of job site hazardsValid driver’s license and reliable transportationSafety tickets (CSTS, WHMIS, First Aid) considered an assetSurvey or grade experience is an assetProven ability to work independently and as a part of a team in a fast-paced settingAbility to lift and work with materials weighing up to 25kgAbility to work in all weather conditions and environmentsMust have a strong understanding of industrial safety procedures and policiesMust be fluent in English, both written and verbalAecon fosters belonging within and across our organization.
