Come join our group of sparkly unicorns! Fantastic Beasts Vet Services is a group of privately owned companion animal clinics that exist to increase veterinary accessibility on Vancouver Island. We do this through a unique 3-division practice model: Our first division is a traditional hospital providing primary care, surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, and urgent services with all your standard in-house equipment and capacity. The second division is dedicated to working with non-profit animal rescue organizations providing high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter services. The third division aims to bring low-cost services to those facing financial difficulties. Our Parksville location is working toward a goal of 24/7 coverage by the end of 2026. In order to achieve this goal, we need experienced urgent care and emergency vets interested in joining a rotation that includes weekend, overnight, and evening shifts.



This location currently hosts 13 vets performing GP and urgent care services. We are building a brand-new urgent care expansion that will allow owners to stay with their pets overnight during emergency situations. This is a full time (36-40hrs/wk) position offering $140,000 - $160,000CDN/annum (approx $105,000 - $120,000USD) and the amazing lifestyle associated with living on Vancouver Island! We offer extended medical/dental benefits, discretionary bonuses, and moving/CE allowances. Candidates must have national licensing and be eligible for licensing in BC. While we love teaching and mentoring, this position is intended for vets with 2+ years of clinical experience.
