About the Role:
The City Lead will serve as the primary strategic and operational leader responsible for driving the growth and success of our initiatives within a designated Canadian city. This role requires a visionary individual who can build and nurture relationships with local stakeholders, including government entities, community organizations, and business partners, to foster collaboration and support.
The City Lead will oversee the execution of city-specific programs and projects, ensuring alignment with broader organizational goals while adapting strategies to meet local needs. They will be accountable for managing cross-functional teams, optimizing resource allocation, and delivering measurable outcomes that contribute to the city’s development and the organization’s reputation. Ultimately, the City Lead will act as the face of the organization in the city, championing its mission and values to create lasting impact and sustainable growth.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Urban Planning, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in leadership roles involving community engagement, project management, or city-level operations.
Proven ability to manage teams and collaborate with diverse stakeholders in a complex environment.
Strong understanding of local government structures and community dynamics within Canadian cities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including public speaking and negotiation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in a relevant discipline such as Public Policy, Urban Development, or Business Management.
Experience working within the Canadian public sector or non-profit organizations focused on urban development.
Demonstrated success in securing funding or grants and managing budgets for city-wide initiatives.
Familiarity with data analytics tools and performance measurement frameworks.
Bilingual proficiency in English and French.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategic plans tailored to the city’s unique opportunities and challenges.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with local government officials, community leaders, and business stakeholders to facilitate partnerships and support.
Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams to execute city-specific projects and initiatives effectively and efficiently.
Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to assess program impact and inform continuous improvement.
Represent the organization at public events, meetings, and forums to enhance visibility and advocate for the city’s development goals.
