Enhance the well-being of patients in a part time role as a Health Care Social Worker with Nova Scotia Health in Cape Breton. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to provide holistic care across all health service areas.

This position located in the Eastern Zone of Cape Breton Regional Hospital focuses on patient engagement through assessment and intervention. A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, current registration, and two years of clinical experience are required. You will employ a client-centered approach and utilize evidence-based practices such as Motivational Interviewing.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct biopsychosocial assessments for clients
• Facilitate group sessions using evidence-based methods
• Collaborate with clients and families to develop care plans




• Engage with community partners for resource alignment
• Provide holistic support across mental health disciplines

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Social Work from an accredited university
• Current registration with the Nova Scotia College of Social Workers
• Minimum two years post-BSW clinical experience
• Familiarity with mental health treatment approaches
• Excellent communication skills and time management
