Elevate Inuit well-being as a Senior Policy Advisor with ITK in Ottawa. This role focuses on public health policy, requiring in-depth knowledge and collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
In this full-time position at ITK, you'll report to the Manager of Policy Advancement. You will work to enhance policies impacting Canada's Inuit communities and serve as a liaison among Inuit Treaty Organizations, various government departments, and NGOs. Your expertise will ensure that program activities are conducted effectively and in alignment with established objectives.
Key Responsibilities: • Draft and produce policy-related reports and documents • Collaborate with partners to fill evidence gaps • Design funding proposals inclusive of budgets • Conduct analysis for national policy development • Facilitate coordination of working groups and committees
Requirements: • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field • 4+ years of experience in policy development • Robust understanding of Inuit land claims • Excellent communication skills in English • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
