This temporary role is designed for experienced payroll professionals, consultants, or retirees seeking project-based work. You will closely collaborate with the Payroll Manager, documenting and mapping payroll processes across bi-monthly cycles, ensuring critical procedures are clearly outlined and maintained. Your involvement will enhance business continuity and knowledge transfer in payroll operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Shadow the Payroll Manager during bi-monthly processing
• Document detailed payroll processes and workflows
• Capture end-to-end payroll inputs and approvals
• Observe year-end activities like reconciliations and tax reporting
• Create comprehensive standard operating procedures
Requirements:
• Proven experience in Canadian payroll environments
• Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) or equivalent
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Familiarity with process mapping and analysis
