New Brunswick Community College (NBCC) is committed to transforming lives and communities. The College is currently seeking dynamic individual for the position of Community College Instructor, IT Business Analyst for the Fredericton campus.
Position Type : Casual
Duration : August 2026 - December 2026
Location : Fredericton Campus
Salary Range : $33.85 to $52.08 hourly.
Responsibilities Collaborating with and reporting to the Academic Chair, School of IT & Natural Resources, as a member of the faculty team, you are responsible for planning and preparing instructional materials and resources; establishing and managing a positive learning environment; instructing and evaluating students; building and sustaining professional relationships with students, colleagues, community partners, and stakeholders; as well as other related duties.
Specific instructional areas may include, but may not be limited to:
Project Management
Business Case Development
Business Process Modeling
Information Technology and Information System Essentials
User Interface (UX) Design
Use Case Creation
Strategies for Seeking Employment
Data Modeling
Data Analysis and Presentation (Excel)
Requirement elicitation and writing
Change Management
Facilitation, Negotiation and Decision Making
Quality Assurance Testing
You will be willing and able to integrate technology and active student learning techniques into teaching practices. You will be required to teach students in classroom, as well as virtually.
Qualifications
Education/Experience:
Diploma or degree in Business Analysis or related field with a minimum of 3 years related work experience
Excellent organization skills, ability to manage competing priorities
Communication, Presentation and Business Writing skills
An understanding of the project life cycle
system development lifecycle,
and where business analysis fits within them
Experience in requirement elicitation and technical writing.
Professional Skills:
Ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality.
Demonstrated problem-solving skills, analytical ability, and innovative thinking.
Self-motivated, service and results oriented.
Ability to work under pressure in a quick-paced environment.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively independently and within a team.
A desire for continuous learning and growth.
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
Preference may be given to candidates who have experience teaching in a post-secondary environment.
Candidates must demonstrate how they meet these qualifications on their resumes.
Other combinations of education and experience may be considered as equivalent. Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be raised.
