The Adult Learning Institute (ALI) is looking for a Teacher Aide Instructor with a Bachelor’s in Education and at least three years of K-12 experience. You will mentor adult learners while covering vital topics, including classroom management and diverse learner support. This part-time position allows versatile evening hours and aims to instill the confidence needed in aspiring paraprofessionals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead a comprehensive training course for prospective teacher aides
• Cover roles and responsibilities of paraprofessionals
• Teach strategies for supporting diverse learners
• Prepare students to manage classrooms effectively
• Communicate ethical considerations in education
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field
• K-12 Teaching License or Adult Education Credential
• Over 3 years of K-12 classroom experience
• Experience instructing adult learners preferred
• Knowledge of IEPs and behavior management
