Lead the charge in corporate security at VIA Rail as the Regional Security Advisor based in Ottawa, ON. Ensure the safety of operational infrastructure through strategic risk management.

Reporting to the Director of Corporate Security & Intelligence, you'll act as a key liaison and implement comprehensive security measures for VIA Rail. This vital role requires fostering relationships with various stakeholders and coordinating emergency response initiatives. Your leadership will be essential in promoting a culture of safety across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
• Liaise with local law enforcement and regulatory bodies
• Manage third-party security services and operations
• Oversee training initiatives for employees and contractors




• Conduct security assessments and audits for vulnerabilities
• Ensure compliance with federal and provincial security regulations

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Criminology or similar field
• 5-7 years in security advisory roles, ideally regionally
• Strong knowledge of transportation security is an asset
• Security certification (CPP, PSP) is preferred
• Bilingual proficiency in English and French
