In this unionized role, you'll support children at the Children’s Activity Center, focusing on protected exploration through meaningful activities. Essential skills include trauma-informed practices and a deep understanding of child development. Engage with families and contribute to a collaborative approach to care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement structured activities aligned with developmental stages
• Support mothers regarding their child’s engagement
• Follow behavior management policies and procedures
• Document client interactions and report on concerns
• Manage risks and ensure children's safety in play areas
Requirements:
• Level 1 Early Childhood Educator Certificate required
• Minimum 2 years of related experience
• Knowledge of child development and trauma sensitivity
• First Aid and ongoing training certifications
• Strong communication and organizational skills
