Support student success as an Educational Assistant with the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board. This 100% term position offers 17.5 hours weekly to engage with exceptional needs students.

Work under the Principal’s guidance to provide essential support to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and developmental disabilities. This role requires creativity and flexibility while assisting in academic programs, pool duties, and various student needs. Collaborating with teaching staff is key as you help implement tailored programs for diverse learners.

Key Responsibilities:
• Support students with exceptional needs daily
• Assist with toileting, lifting, and feeding
• Modify programs for learning disabilities
• Participate in academic and pool programs
• Record and chart student behavior data

Requirements:
• DSW/CYW diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of special needs experience
• Valid First Aid/CPR certification is an asset
• Completed behavior management training
• Proficient with assistive technologies
