The School District enrolls over 25,000 students (including approximately 3,200 students who self-identify as having First Nations, Metis, and/or Inuit ancestry from Canada). Central Okanagan Public Schools is located in the Central Okanagan encompassing the communities of Peachland, West Kelowna, Kelowna, and Lake Country. There are a total of 50 school sites with 32 Elementary Schools, 8 Middle schools, 5 Secondary Schools, 3 Learning Centres, an Alternate Education School, and an Online Learning School (6-12). Strong Start Facilitator(0875) - On Call

The Strong Start Facilitator will:
work effectively with a variety of parents, children, professionalsand community mentors;
maintain accurate records;
be versatile with work hours;
create, plan, implement and budget for parent participation early learning program;
be required to deal with challenging behaviour issues;
attend all early learning professional development activities;
have strong verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills;
possess knowledge and experience with computers and the internet;
Applicants Must:
have completed Grade 12 (Senior Secondary School Graduation);
possess a valid certificate, preferably a diploma, in Early Childhood Education;
possess a Class 5 Driver's Licence;
possess or be willing to obtain a valid First Aid Certificate;
possess or be willing to obtain a valid Food Safe Certification;
The wage for this position is $30.89/hour
