Job Description
What is The Opportunity?
As a Level 2 Application Support Engineer, you'll take ownership of the reliability and performance of mission‑critical trading platforms. This is more than a support role—you'll drive operational excellence, influence system design, mentor team members, and grow your expertise in SRE practices and modern infrastructure. What Will You Do?

Own the reliability of critical production systems, proactively monitoring and resolving issues across web servers, application servers, middleware, and trading platform infrastructure

Lead incident response and change management, coordinating cross‑functional teams, conducting thorough root cause analysis, and implementing preventative measures that reduce future incidents

Drive operational excellence by championing SRE practices, automating repetitive workflows, and aligning technical initiatives with business priorities to improve system resilience

Provide technical leadership by collaborating with development, infrastructure, and L3 support teams to solve complex challenges, and mentoring junior engineers as the team grows

Manage and optimise application job scheduling, ensuring seamless execution of critical processes and supporting smooth deployments during project implementations

Influence system architecture by bringing frontline insights to design discussions, helping shape decisions around scalability, reliability, and user experience

What Do You Need to Succeed?
Must Have

5–10 years of production support experience, ideally in financial services, trading, or other high‑availability environments

Strong SQL skills for querying, analyzing data, and troubleshooting application issues





Hands‑on experience supporting .NET and Java applications in both traditional and modern containerized environments (Kubernetes)

Solid understanding of VMs, cloud platforms, and infrastructure fundamentals

Working knowledge of microservices architectures and RESTful APIs

Experience with enterprise monitoring and observability tools: Dynatrace Managed, Catchpoint, Kibana, Splunk

Deep familiarity with incident and change management frameworks (ITIL or similar)

Comfortable participating in rotating 7×24 on‑call support (with fair scheduling and team backup)

Nice‑to‑Have

Hands‑on experience applying SRE principles (SLOs, error budgets, blameless postmortems)

Background in asset management or CMDB processes

Pay Range
The expected pay range for this position is:

$67,000.00 - $110,000.00
