Branch Auditor to execute in office operational audits of retail locations. Our enterprise client is seeking a Branch Auditor (3+ years) to execute operational audits of retail locations.
Join a branch audit team supporting retail operations across Canada through operational and compliance-focused audits. This role executes audits from planning through reporting with a focus on inventory, invoicing, receiving, hazardous materials compliance, and transaction processing across distributed branch locations. The position offers significant field exposure and ownership of on-site audit activities across retail and supply chain environments. New hires shadow experienced auditors before independently leading audit assignments.
Contract, Calgary, Onsite, Travel Required (40-50%) Working Hours: M-F MST
Must Haves 3+ years in Internal Audit , Internal Controls , Compliance , Risk Management , or Public Accounting
3+ years supporting retail operations , operational controls , and business process testing
Inventory audits , field audits , ERP systems , and SAP exposure
Excel and PowerPoint intermediate-level proficiency with ability to travel up to 40–50%
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related discipline
Nice to Have CIA, CPA, CISA, CRMA, CFA, or equivalent certification
Experience in agriculture, distribution, wholesale, manufacturing, or supply chain environments
Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA, Power BI, or similar tools
Branch administration experience across Canadian or US retail operations
Comfort using AI tools to automate manual processes
Responsibilities Execute branch audits from planning through reporting based on the audit program
Test inventory, invoicing, receiving, restricted use product, and hazardous materials compliance processes
Evaluate transaction processing and timeliness across branch operations
Prepare audit tests and audit reports
Present findings and recommendations to branch and regional leadership
Follow up on corrective action plans and remediation efforts for high priority issues
Develop trust-based relationships with branch personnel and management
