KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Hardware & PCB Execution: Design, develop, and verify safety-critical mechatronic hardware components and PCBs from prototype through to production.

System Architecture: Define system-level item definitions, physical boundaries, and functional interfaces.

Software Integration: Develop, refine, and document the Hardware-Software Interface (HSI) Specification alongside Software Engineers.

Safety & Analysis: Conduct qualitative system safety analyses (FMEDA, FTA) and incorporate hardware safety mechanisms (e.g., over-current and supply voltage monitoring).

Validation & Testing: Build, maintain, and validate instrumented lab configurations, functional mock-ups, and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) test setups.

Manufacturing Readiness:

Support manufacturing test strategies, ramp-up activities, and failure analysis.

Core Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, or related Engineering field

Minimum 5 years experience designing, simulating, and troubleshooting complex electromechanical systems

Strong power electronics design: analyze schematics, evaluate component interactions (MOSFETs, gate drivers, H-bridges, op-amps, comparators, sensing circuits), and correct design weaknesses.

Proficient with EDA tools for schematic capture and multi-layer PCB layout constraints.

Solid understanding of circuit protection principles

Systems, Software & Control

MATLAB, Simulink, C/C++ programming, and MISRA compliance.

Solid understanding of vehicle dynamics and braking's role in stability, control, and safety.

Baseline troubleshooting for multidisciplinary hardware (electronics, thermal limits, physical boundaries)

Preferred Experience

Functional safety frameworks (ISO 26262, IEC 60812, IEC 61025).

Familiarity with IATF 16949 standards and ISO-certified environments.

SOFT SKILLS

Execution & Drive: Proactive, hands-on problem solver who operates effectively under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
