Norpoint Sandblasting & Painting Ltd. is a medium-sized industrial sandblasting and painting company. We offer full service industrial coating at our Calmar, AB shop, and mobile services to clients across Canada.

We at Norpoint require Abrasive Blaster and Coaters for immediate local and remote field work. The applicant should be familiar with the protected operation of blasting equipment, safety equipment, and will be expected to work with the team to meet safety and quality standards. The applicant should also be experienced in spray and brush & roll application of coatings. Experience in QC (NACE/AMPP CIP Certification) is an asset.

This is a full time position.

Job Duties
Apply coating through spray, and brush & roll of coatings. Prepare, mask and protect sensitive or delicate equipment.
Abrasive blast welds, structural steel, piles and other carbon steel equipment
Ensure painted surfaces meet owner specifications, Norpoint quality standards, customer standards and paint manufacturer requirements.
Competently repair all coating defects.
Inspect equipment for cleanliness and damage and clean and/or repair equipment as required.
Maintain safe working conditions at all times.




Comply with Occupational Health and Safety standards and practices as well as Norpoint HSE practices and policies.
Troubleshoot equipment if there is a malfunction.
Complete general work area clean-up and organization.

Requirements
Working knowledge of large industrial abrasive blasting equipment, including plunger and pressured pots.
Working knowledge of industrial coating application.
Experience as plural component spray applicator is preferred.
Knowledge of pump operations is essential.
Must be able to lift 25 kg.
Highly motivated and self-directed, capable of multi-tasking, and able to work with minimal supervision.
Valid drivers license considered an asset
