As a Lead Electrical Engineer in WSP’s Resources subsector, you will provide senior technical expertise on projects from conception to completion. This position requires extensive experience in electrical design for mining and heavy industries.

You will have the prospect to mentor junior staff, guide project teams, and foster client relationships while managing critical design activities and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead design of electrical power distribution systems
Conduct power system studies using ETAP or Easy Power




Prepare specifications for switchgear and transformers
Oversee engineering calculations and design accuracy
mentor junior engineers in electrical design

Requirements:
18+ years in electrical engineering design
Registered Qualified Engineer (P. Eng.) in Ontario
Proficient in CSA, ANSI, and IEEE standards
Experience in industrial environments like mines
Valid driver’s license for site visits
