We're looking for a skilled, dependable Kitchen and Baking Assistant to join our growing kitchen team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys baking, takes pride in producing high-quality food, and is willing to jump in wherever needed. Every meal and baked item you prepare will help make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.

As our Kitchen and Baking Assistant, you will be responsible for preparing fresh baked goods while supporting the daily operations of our commercial kitchen. This is a hands-on role that requires excellent time management, attention to detail, and a team-first attitude.

While baking is your primary focus, you'll also assist with food preparation, meal production, catering, and other kitchen responsibilities to help ensure the smooth operation of our kitchen.

Duties
Prepare a variety of baked goods including breads, muffins, cookies, desserts, and other menu items while maintaining consistent quality and presentation.
Follow standardized recipes, production schedules, and food safety procedures.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation in accordance with FoodSafe standards.
Work independently to plan and complete baking production on schedule.
Monitor inventory and communicate supply needs before shortages occur.




Adapt recipes and production based on ingredient availability, seasonal menus, and daily demand.
Support meal preparation, portioning, plating, packaging, and kitchen cleanup as needed.
Assist with catering preparation and special events as required.
Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and volunteers in a respectful and positive environment.
Assist with maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and efficiency.
Follow all workplace health and safety policies.

Qualifications
Experience working in a commercial or skilled kitchen, with baking experience preferred.
Solid organizational and time management skills.
The ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
A positive attitude and willingness to support all areas of kitchen operations.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
FoodSafe Level 1 certification (or willingness to obtain).
The ability to work efficiently in a quick-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
The ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift up to 50 lbs.

Pay: Up to $25.00 per hour
