About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Hydrovac Driver Operator to join our growing civil construction team. This position requires a valid DZ or AZ license and the ability to both:
Operate and drive a hydrovac truck safely
Perform ground work, including working inside excavations when required

This is not a “sit in the truck” position — we are looking for someone hands-on, safety-focused, and comfortable supporting the crew on site.

Key Responsibilities
Operate and drive hydrovac truck (DZ or AZ required)
Perform daylighting, trenching, pole holes, and utility locating
Safely work inside excavations and support crew in the field
Set up traffic control and work zones
Complete daily circle checks and equipment inspections
Maintain truck, hoses, wands, and vacuum system
Follow Ontario OHSA safety standards




Work outdoors in all weather conditions
Assist with site cleanup and general labour duties as required

Requirements
Valid DZ or AZ driver’s license (clean abstract)
Minimum 1–2 years hydrovac experience preferred
Comfortable entering trenches and confined work areas
Knowledge of underground utility locating
Ability to lift 50+ lbs
Robust understanding of site safety
Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
