Job Overview

We are seeking a Financial Controller to join our team, this can be offered as an employee or as a contract position. Minimum requirements of a CPA licence and 5 years previous experience.

Duties
Manage and supervise all accounting functions
Oversee the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets
Utilize accounting software such as Xero, and other platforms to maintain financial records.
Monitor cash flow, manage banking relationships, and oversee treasury functions
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies
Lead month-end and year-end closing processes
Proficiency in accounting software including Xero, and other relevant platforms.
Robust analytical skills for account analysis
Knowledge of industry standards for compliance and regulatory requirements related to finance.

Whitecourt, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:
Accounting: 5 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:
Chartered Qualified Accountant (preferred)
