Senior Accounting Technician Edmonton, AB – Full-time, In-Office

Our established Edmonton accounting practice is seeking a reliable and dedicated Senior Accounting Technician who takes pride in their work and is ready to take ownership of client files.

About the Role

This is a hands-on position for an experienced technician who is motivated to perform well and contribute to the team. You will manage compilation, bookkeeping, and tax files with minimal supervision while supporting junior staff as needed.

Key Responsibilities

· Prepare and complete compilation engagements

· Perform bookkeeping and financial statement preparation

· Prepare personal and corporate tax returns

· Manage client files efficiently while maintaining high standards of accuracy and professionalism

· Support and mentor junior staff as needed

· Build and maintain solid client relationships

Requirements

· Minimum 5 years of experience in a Canadian CPA firm (public practice)

· Robust proficiency in compilations, bookkeeping, personal tax, and corporate tax

· Proficiency with accounting firm software: Caseware, SAGE, QuickBooks Online (QBO), and CCH iFirm

· Proven ability to complete files independently with minimal supervision

· Strong work ethic and qualified commitment





· Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

· Strong communication and client service skills
