About the Role

We are seeking a well-rounded CNC Machinist with a strong background in manufacturing and hands-on experience with CNC mills and lathes. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, tooling selection, machine setup, and production based on engineering drawings and specified tolerances. Candidates must have a post-secondary education in manufacturing and be proficient in Fusion 360 or Mastercam. Familiarity with Haas CNC machines is required.

Responsibilities
Program CNC mills and lathes using Fusion 360 or Mastercam
Set up and operate Haas CNC machines
Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications
Select appropriate cutting tools, workholding, and machining strategies
Set up and run CNC mills and lathes to required specifications and tolerances
Perform in-process measurements and quality checks
Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and programming issues
Optimize machining processes for quality, efficiency, and productivity
Maintain a clean, secure, and organized work area
Work independently while collaborating with engineering and production teams

Qualifications
Post-secondary education in Manufacturing,



Machining, CNC Technology, or a related field
Proven CNC machining experience
Strong proficiency with Fusion 360 or Mastercam programming
Experience operating and setting up Haas CNC machines
Robust ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Knowledge of tooling, feeds and speeds, workholding, and machining practices
Ability to consistently machine components within specified tolerances
Strong problem-solving and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Considered an Asset
Experience with automation and machine design
CAD/CAM experience beyond basic programming
Experience improving machining processes and cycle times
Experience with custom or low-volume manufacturing

Compensation
Hourly Rate: $32–$37 per hour, based on experience, technical ability, and programming expertise.
