We are seeking a motivated and dependable Warehouse/Swamper to join our agile logistics team. In this vital role, you will assist with the movement, loading, and unloading of goods within the warehouse environment, ensuring smooth operations and safety compliance. Your mechanical aptitude and experience with heavy equipment will be essential in supporting warehouse distribution activities, order picking, and shipping & receiving processes. This position offers an engaging opportunity to work with a variety of equipment and contribute to productive warehouse management.
Duties
Load and unload shipments using heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, and other heavy machinery
Assist in order picking and inventory management within the warehouse management system (WMS)
Operate heavy equipment safely during construction-related tasks or warehouse operations
Support shipping and receiving activities by verifying incoming and outgoing goods
Load and unload trucks efficiently while adhering to safety protocols
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse workspace
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of daily tasks and support warehouse distribution goals
Skills
Proven experience in warehouse operations, including order picking and shipping & receiving
Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation such as forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, and load/unload machinery
Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory control and tracking
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely on a regular basis
Construction or construction-related experience is a plus for supporting building or renovation projects within the facility
Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and equipment operation standards
Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and supervisors
