Mechanical Estimator and Manager for Plumbing and HVAC Company
Summary

The Mechanical Estimator is responsible for estimating quoting and coordinating small to large size commercial projects. This role includes coordinating planning managing office rolls, including the Supervisor managing the project. This position requires knowledge of the commercial, and Multi-Family construction. Specifically the practices, procedures, techniques, tools and equipment, materials, specifications, quality control, cost control, and safety associated with this industry. The applicant must maintain an up to date knowledge of codes and standards and ensure that projects being completed are in compliance at all times.

Requirements
· Post-secondary degree in Mechanical Engineering Technologist or Trade certification in mechanical field required with knowledge of construction and well versed in computers.

· Demonstrated understanding of plumbing, gas fitting, and HVAC theories and principles

· Able to communicate ideas and recommendations to trade team members.

· Demonstrated knowledge of Canadian plumbing/ gas fitting,



HVAC standards

· Demonstrated knowledge of required code for operation's geographical area

· Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with all levels of the organization, including executives

· Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills

· Excellent time management and project management skills

· High level of sound and independent judgment and reasoning

· Ability to interpret and implement company policies and procedures

· Demonstrated ability to exercise necessary cost control measures

Work Conditions

· Ability to physically implement designs

· May be exposed to construction sites
