Position Overview:
We are seeking a dependable, organized, and friendly Clinical Dental Assistant/Hygiene Coordintor to join our team. This position is primarily focused on hygiene co and dental assisting, with occasional front office administrative support as needed. The ideal candidate is adaptable, proactive, and comfortable stepping in wherever needed to keep the day running smoothly.

Clinical & Hygiene Support:
Assist hygienists with charting, perio charting, and radiographs
Support doctors with restorative and general dental procedures
Prepare and break down operatories
Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control standards
Take and process digital X-rays
Ensure patient comfort and provide post-operative instructions

Office & Administrative Support (as needed):
Greet and check in patients
Schedule and confirm appointments
Answer phones and respond to patient inquiries
Assist with treatment plan presentation and insurance verification
Support the front desk during busy periods or team absences

Qualifications




Experience is an asset in dental assisting and familiarity with dental software such as Abeldent or LiveDDM.
Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
Solid organizational skills to manage multiple schedules efficiently as a Hygiene Coordinator.
Ability to communicate clearly with patients, team members, and specialists about treatment procedures and care instructions.
Certification in dental assisting from an accredited program is preferred
HAARP Certification is an asset
