Line Cook – The Clarendon

The Clarendon is a ByWard Market bar and dining room known for creative cocktails, craft beer, and elevated comfort food. It’s the kind of place people come for a outstanding night out — relaxed, welcoming, and consistently on point.

We’re growing our team and looking for a solid Line Cook to join us.

If you’re quick on your feet, take pride in your work, and know how to keep things moving in a busy kitchen, we want to meet you.

What You’ll Do
Set up and maintain clean, organized workstations
Prep ingredients and execute dishes with consistency
Cook across stations (grill, sauté, etc.) with efficiency
Monitor food quality and presentation before service
Maintain a clean, protected, and sanitary kitchen environment
Support inventory control and stock organization

What We’re Looking For




Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen
Strong understanding of cooking techniques and timing
Comfortable using standard kitchen equipment and tools
Team-oriented with clear communication
Reliable, motivated, and detail-focused

Job Type: Full time

Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:
Ottawa, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:
Cooking: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:
Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (preferred)
