About the Role

As a Senior Accountant you are a team player, friendly, and eager to accept the next challenge. This is a full-time position based on a 37.5 hours per week at our office in Pincher Creek, Alberta.

What your day will look like
Prepare Compilation and Review engagement working papers and financial information statements
Perform file reviews and supervise junior file preparers
Assist in file preparation training
Prepare Canadian corporate tax returns
Prepare Canadian personal tax returns
Prepare Canadian trust tax returns
Various correspondence with Canada Revenue Agency regarding inquiries, limited review processed, post-assessments, audits etc.
Client relationship assistance
Preparation of T4, T4A, T5, T5018 and other slips
Limited bookkeeping and controller functions
Prepare or review GST returns
Assist partners as required.

What you need to Succeed
Hold a CPA designation or CPA candidate




A minimum of 2 years of experience in a Public Practice CPA firm
Proficient in CaseWare, Taxcycle, Quickbooks, Sage50, Outlook, Word and Excel
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
Strong work ethic, excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to pay attention to detail
Reliable with minimal absenteeism
Excellent verbal and written communication in English
