Apex Achievers Math Academy is seeking a Part time Student Math Tutor, to assist and lead Junior High and Lower High School Students through math enrichment programming and tutoring . This is a outstanding role for future educators and college students to gain experience and references for future teaching careers while making competitive tutoring wages during their studies.
Duties
Deliver engaging one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions focused on various math topics aligned with students’ needs and curriculum standards. All programming will be provided by Apex Academy Math Academy
Assess students’ current understanding and tailor lessons to address individual strengths and areas for improvement
Support students with homework, test preparation, and study strategies to enhance their learning outcomes
Promote a positive,
encouraging atmosphere that motivates students to actively participate and develop confidence in math
Skills
Experience working with children or adolescents in educational or tutoring settings
Solid knowledge of math concepts across various grade levels and curricula
Effective teaching skills with the ability to explain complex topics clearly and patiently
Classroom experience or familiarity with instructional techniques is a plus
Knowledge of special education strategies to support diverse learning needs
