Duties
Safely operate a Class 1 commercial truck to transport freight over short and long distances, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
Load and unload freight using forklifts or heavy equipment, ensuring proper handling and secure placement of cargo
Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and other critical systems to ensure roadworthiness
Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle logs in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards
Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to keep the vehicle in optimal condition




Coordinate with dispatchers and warehouse staff to confirm delivery schedules and address any logistical issues promptly
Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts safely when handling freight within warehouses or loading docks

Experience
Valid Class 1 commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably with freight transportation across diverse routes
Hands-on experience operating forklifts or other heavy equipment in a warehouse or logistics environment
Knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation and transportation regulations
Ability to perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting on trucks and trailers
Solid communication skills for coordinating with team members, dispatchers, and clients
Physical ability to load/unload freight manually or with equipment, including lifting heavy items when necessary

Pay: $40.00-$46.00 per hour
