Job Overview:

We are seeking a Sushi Roller / Maker to assist in preparing a variety of sushi items with consistency and care. This role is ideal for someone with at least 1 year of hands-on sushi preparation experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

Sushi Preparation:
Prepare maki rolls, hand rolls, and basic sushi items according to recipes and standards
Assist with basic fish and vegetable prep (cutting, portioning, organizing ingredients)
Experienced with Salmon fish cutting
Prepare and handle sushi rice, ensuring proper texture and seasoning
Assemble orders efficiently while maintaining presentation quality

Quality & Sanitation:
Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines




Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station
Ensure ingredients are fresh and properly stored (FIFO practices)

Teamwork & Support:
Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure smooth and timely service
Assist with restocking ingredients and basic inventory tasks
Support the team during busy service periods

Qualifications & Requirements:
Minimum 1 year of experience in sushi preparation or a similar kitchen role
Knowledge of sushi rolling and ingredient handling
Positive knife skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and consistency
Team player with good communication skills
Must have legal authorization to work in Canada

Pay: $18.00–$22.50 per hour (based on experience)
