Quality Engineer-API & Integration Test Automation

Contract: 6+ Months
Location: Waterloo or Toronto ON (3 days Onsite)

Job Overview

We are looking for a Quality Engineer to support a large-scale banking technology platform focused on application lifecycle tracking and electronic document services.

The Quality Engineer will be responsible for building and maintaining automated API and integration test suites, validating data across backend systems and front-end API contracts, and ensuring reliable end-to-end functionality. The role will support multiple workstreams in parallel and work closely with developers and other QA professionals within an Agile setting.

Must-Have Skills
Hands-on experience with Bruno for API testing and automation.
Robust experience with Playwright for UI/end-to-end test automation.
Solid experience with API and integration test automation, including Bruno, Postman,



REST Assured, or equivalent tools.
Experience with test automation frameworks and scripting using Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python.
Experience performing end-to-end data validation across integrated source systems and front-end API/UI contracts.
Experience designing and executing regression testing within CI/CD pipelines, including GitHub and PR-based workflows

Nice-to-Have Skills
Experience with performance and load testing.
Experience testing Salesforce integrations or document-management platforms such as Alfresco.
Previous experience in the financial services or banking industry.
