About Pacific Nations Capital Management
Pacific Nations Capital Management LP is an Indigenous majority owned investment management firm being established to provide institutional quality investment management and private market solutions. Supported by the Nuxalk Nation, the firm is focused on long term wealth creation, disciplined investment management, and advancing Indigenous economic participation.
Upon registration as a Portfolio Manager, Investment Fund Manager, and Exempt Market Dealer, the firm will provide discretionary portfolio management, manage investment funds, and deliver private market investment opportunities to Indigenous and institutional clients.
This is an chance to help build an investment management firm from the ground up while contributing to Indigenous economic development.
Position Overview
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Financial Analyst will support corporate finance, investment analysis, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, fund operations, and strategic planning for Pacific Nations Capital Management and Nunumus Management Ltd.
The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership on financial analysis, investment reporting, regulatory reporting, valuation, and business planning.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare budgets, forecasts, financial models, and management reports.
Analyze financial performance, operating results, and key performance indicators.
Support investment analysis, portfolio monitoring, due diligence, and performance reporting.
Assist with investment fund operations, including NAV and cash flow reporting.
Support strategic planning, business development, and financial modelling for new initiatives.
Contribute to regulatory reporting, audits, governance, and risk management.
Develop dashboards and improve financial reporting processes and internal controls.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Economics, Business, or a related field.
CPA designation (or candidate) preferred.
CFA designation or progress toward the CFA Program is an asset.
3 to 5 years of experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, investment management, accounting, or capital markets.
Experience within investment management, pension funds, private equity, family offices, or financial services is preferred.
Experience supporting investment funds or alternative investments is an asset.
Advanced Excel and financial modelling.
Strong financial statement analysis and valuation skills.
Knowledge of investment performance reporting and portfolio analytics.
Experience with NetSuite is an asset.
Strong written, analytical, and presentation skills.
