Laboratory Facilitator, Veterinary Technology $32.04 per hour (with wage increments to a max of $36.06 per hour). Salary and wage increments are in accordance with the Collective Agreement.

Excellent working knowledge of the operation and routine maintenance of a veterinary facility, including laboratory, surgical, radiology and anesthetic equipment and apparatus together with a good working knowledge of safety measures related to the operation of a veterinary facility including WHMIS and GHS
Demonstrated experience speaking to groups and preparing written materials for lab assignments. Experience creating Standard Operating Procedures is an asset.
Good working knowledge of the English language (written and verbal).
A demonstrated ability to:
handle different animal species compassionately and with the use of accepted professional best practices.
perform all duties of a veterinary technologist, including, but not limited to, anesthesia, dentistry, nursing, radiography and laboratory procedures.
manage multiple ongoing patient and student needs (i.e. multi-task).
adapt to changing situations with a calm demeanour.
communicate courteously and effectively in person, in writing, and over the telephone with students, faculty, administrators, staff, and the public.
