Be part of the Town of Whitby's aquatic team as an Instructor Guard, focusing on safety, instruction, and community engagement. This role encompasses both teaching and supervision in a dynamic aquatic environment.

As an Instructor Guard, you will report directly to the Supervisor of Aquatics and play a crucial role in ensuring safe swimming experiences. Your interactions will support both individual patrons and larger community initiatives, contributing to Whitby’s transformation as an inclusive and vibrant place for residents of all ages.

Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure a safe and welcoming aquatic setting
• Deliver engaging Swim programs from the Lifesaving Society
• Conduct emergency responses and uphold pool regulations




• Create and submit accurate lesson plans and reports
• Maintain organization of the pool area and related equipment

Requirements:
• Current Lifesaving Society certifications
• First Aid and CPR “C” certification required
• Valid police background check for vulnerable sector
• Exemplary communication and relationship-building abilities
• Flexibility for various shift timings
