Picture walking into a plant with real talent already on the floor and real momentum already building, and having a blank canvas to design the systems and discipline that take it to the next level. That's this role.
About the Opportunity Our client is an innovative, rapidly growing company at the forefront of sustainable building solutions, changing how the industry approaches high-performance construction. Their Squamish, BC plant is a pivotal piece of a mission-driven organization that values innovation, collaboration, and operational excellence.
The team is strong: experienced people across engineering and design, production, and procurement are already in place. What's missing is the structure to match their talent. This is a build mandate: introduce KPIs, streamline procedures, and bring in best-in-class operational processes while preserving the culture and momentum that already exist. You'll be walking into quick-moving, high-energy chaos and turning it into a scalable, world-class operation, without losing what makes the place work.
What You'll Do
Build and own the processes and procedures that drive plant efficiency, quality, safety, and profitability
Benchmark performance against industry-leading standards and pursue the improvements that matter most
Mentor and grow a talented team, building a culture of accountability and high performance
Lead the plant's transformation from unstructured to disciplined, world-class manufacturing
Win buy-in at every level for new systems and processes so they actually stick
Align daily operations with corporate goals, working closely with senior leaders across the business
Establish and track meaningful metrics for production, quality, delivery, and team performance
Oversee logistics and procurement to keep operations smooth and costs in line
What We're Looking For
10+ years of operational leadership in manufacturing or a similar industrial environment, ideally through a period of high-growth transformation
Experience managing or working closely with engineers
A track record of implementing operational KPIs, scalable systems, and structured processes
A genuine passion for developing people and building empowered, high-functioning teams
Strong communicator who can influence and inspire at every level
Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methodologies
A hands-on, approachable, pragmatic leadership style, high EQ
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or similar; advanced degrees or certifications are a plus
Our client is an Equal Opportunity Employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state, or local law.
