Take on an essential role with the County of Lambton as a Tandem Truck Operator. This temporary full time position requires safe equipment operation and maintenance through all seasons.

In this position, you will operate a tandem truck and snow plough equipment while ensuring optimal upkeep and communication of road conditions. Your responsibilities will involve basic machinery maintenance, on-site decision-making for weather-related tasks, and participating in various operational support activities.

Key Responsibilities:
• Operate assigned equipment safely and efficiently
• Maintain and clean machinery, performing minor repairs
• Communicate road conditions via radio to supervisors




• On-site decision-making for sand and salt distribution
• Assist with emergency calls during winter operations

Requirements:
• Secondary School graduation or equivalent experience
• Valid Province of Ontario Driver’s Licence Class DZ
• Previous operating experience in construction preferred
• Ability to meet physical demands of the job
• Willingness to document daily activities and equipment status
